Cookie Policy

How Redolence uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, including during online payment.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Redolence Grammar School & Training Centre (“Redolence”, “we”, “us”) places when you visit https://redolencebd.com, why we place them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember you between pages, and to keep your account and payments secure. We also use closely related technologies such as browser local storage and session storage; wherever this policy says “cookies”, it covers those technologies too.

Cookies set by this website are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation whose service we use — for example our payment gateway — are called third-party cookies.

2. Why we use cookies

  • To keep you signed in as you move between pages of the student or admin portal.
  • To protect forms and logins against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
  • To carry your admission, course-purchase or fee-payment session safely to and from the payment gateway.
  • To remember the cookie choice you make on the banner, so we do not ask you again on every page.
  • To keep the site secure and to detect abusive or fraudulent activity.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell any information collected through cookies.

3. Cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function. Without them you cannot log in, submit an admission form, or complete a payment. They cannot be switched off through our banner.

Cookie Set by Duration Purpose
redolence_session / laravel_session This website 2 hours Holds your anonymous session identifier so the server can recognise you from one page to the next — for example to keep you logged in or to remember a fee payment you started.
XSRF-TOKEN This website 2 hours Security token that proves a form or payment request really came from this website and not from an attacker (CSRF protection).
remember_web_* This website Up to 5 years Set only if you tick “Remember me” at login, so you are not asked for your password on every visit. Deleted when you log out.
cookie_consent This website 1 year Stores whether you accepted all cookies or chose essential cookies only, so the banner is not shown again.

3.2 Payment gateway cookies

Online payments on this website — course purchase, admission fee and monthly fee payment — are processed by our licensed payment gateway partner. When you proceed to pay, you are taken to the gateway’s secure checkout, and your bank, card issuer or mobile-financial-service provider (bKash, Nagad, Rocket and others) may also be involved.

Those organisations set their own strictly necessary cookies on their own domains, for example:

  • to keep your checkout session alive while you enter your payment details;
  • to carry out 3-D Secure / OTP verification with your bank;
  • to perform fraud and risk checks on the transaction;
  • to return the transaction result to us so your payment can be marked as successful.

These cookies are controlled by the payment provider, not by Redolence, and they are governed by that provider’s own privacy and cookie policy — which is published on that provider’s own website. If you block cookies for the payment gateway, your payment cannot be completed.

Redolence never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, PIN or mobile-wallet PIN. We only receive the transaction reference, amount, status and the masked payment details returned by the gateway.

3.3 Functional cookies

We use browser local storage to remember small display preferences — such as a dismissed notice or your last selected batch in the student portal. This information stays in your browser and is not sent to us.

3.4 Analytics and advertising cookies

We do not currently place analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent through the cookie banner before any such cookie is set.

Some pages load fonts, icons and script libraries from third-party networks (Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr). These do not set cookies, but the provider will receive your IP address as part of the normal request for those files.

4. Your choices

When you first visit the site, a banner lets you Accept all cookies or continue with essential cookies only. Your choice is stored for one year in the cookie_consent cookie. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site and reloading the page, which brings the banner back.

You can also control cookies from your browser settings — most browsers let you see the cookies stored, delete them individually or block them entirely:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note: if you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in, submit an admission form or pay online.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove a service, or when the law changes. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is published on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will change.
